West Meon hot air balloon launch site

This site is part of our South Downs West balloon flights area and is usually used when the wind is from the South East. It is also our primary morning launch site. The alternative evening sites are at Chichester, Petersfield, Fernhurst or Farnham.

West Meon is on the high ground of the western end of the South Downs National Park and is surrounded by agricultural land. On a hot air balloon flight from this location you will see the rolling chalk hills and the highest point in Hampshire.

The launch site is off the A272 heading for Winchester. There are balloon signs on the gate. It is 250 meters after the Two for One West Meon Hut Public House GU32 1JX, Junction A272 and A32. Please park to your right next to the hedge in the launch field to leave room for the balloons to inflate.

How much does a balloon flight cost?
